CBR's Public Relations Committee wants to help you realize your membership benefits in a fun way.......a virtual scavenger adventure! Weekly clues will be given through December. The clues will take you on an adventure to hunt for the answer that relates to a REALTOR® Association member benefit. You'll email your answers to cbr@cheyennerealtors.com to be entered into a prize drawing for $360 (the cost of your local dues). One entry per person per week, unless there is a chance for a BONUS entry.
Clue #1: Take a selfie with a member of the 2024 or 2025 CBR Leadership Team (BONUS entry option: take your selfie with a member of the Leadership Team who is NOT in the same office as you and you'll be entered 2x in the drawing). Answers must be submitted by Friday, October 25, 2024. HINT: attending the Leadership Celebration on October 23rd would be a GREAT place to take your selfie! |

The adoption of this amendment is simple: separate residential property into its own class for property tax assessments. The amendment would authorize the legislature to create a subclass of owner-occupied primary residences. Creating another class of property does not raise taxes, but it does give the Legislature a tool to relieve Wyoming resident's property taxes. Don’t forget......all REALTOR® members (yes, appraisers are REALTORS® too!) must complete at least 2.5 hours of training on the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics. There's still time & opportunities to fulfill your training requirement:

REALTOR® Membership Dues Invoices have been delivered!
REALTOR® membership dues are due October 1st. Your invoice was emailed on October 1st and a paper copy was mailed to your home address on file, or delivered to your office. If you did not receive a membership dues invoice, please contact the CBR office or log into the Info Hub to view and pay your invoice.
Membership dues are $946 (including a voluntary RPAC investment*) for REALTOR® members (yes, appraisers are REALTORS® too), and $250 for Affiliate Members. Remember, dues are split between the 3 levels of associations (2 levels for Affiliates).

Remember, anyone waiting to pay on November 1st will be assessed a $50 late fee. If you wait until December to pay, another $50 late fee will be assessed. And, if you don't pay at all, your membership is automatically terminated, and an additional $450 re-activation fees plus the $921 membership dues will be due to reactivate any time in 2025.
*Contributions to RPAC are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. Contributions are voluntary and are used for political purposes. The amounts indicated are merely guidelines and you may contribute more or less than the suggested amounts. The National Association of REALTORS® and its state and local associations will not favor or disadvantage any member because of the amount contributed or decision not to contribute. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal. 70% of each contribution is used by your state PAC to support state and local political candidates;30% is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 52 U.S.C. 30116. |

We're not asking you to stand in the cold and Ring the Bell, we're not asking you to make a Gingerbread House, and we're not asking you to dance in a flash mob (although all of those activities were fun) -- we are asking you to Party with the PR Committee!
Meet, Mingle, and watch the WY Cowboys take on the CSU Rams, Friday, November 15th, 6 pm @ the CBR Office.
It's a Wyoming Cowboys Football Watch Party where PR committee members will serve Red, Green & White chilis (we didn't think brown & gold would be visually appealing in food prep) & all the fixin's. We'll have door prizes too!
You just bring your favorite beverage and maybe a comfortable chair.....weather permitting, it may be a tailgate party. $30 per person with all funds donated to the Salvation Army.
