In case you missed last week's announcement.....

Sometimes a name is “just a name”… and sometimes it carries identity, mission, history, and future direction all at once.  The membership has chosen Southern Wyoming REALTORS® Association as its new name.

We’re incredibly excited about our new name and what it represents for our future! The next step is receiving approval from the National Association of REALTORS® before we can officially begin using it. We’ll be submitting the name change request later today and will keep you updated as soon as we receive final approval. Until then, we’ll continue operating as the Cheyenne Board of REALTORS® while we continue to prepare to step into this exciting new chapter together.

But wait -- who won the contest? The name change contest promised $50 for the top 5 name suggestions and $250 for the name that was chosen.  What we didn't take into consideration was that many members would suggest the same (or a name very similar) name.  The Board of Directors voted to award the prize money to all the winners:

  •  Southern Wyoming REALTOR® Association - $300 each:  Abby AtwoodJ. Fred VolkJannel FossenPaul Wells, and Stephanie Dalton
  • New Frontier REALTOR® Association - $50 each: Raquel Mulkey
  • Overland REALTOR® Association - $50 each: Halley Trembath
  • Plains to Peaks REALTOR® Association - $50 each: Lindsey Sears
  • Wyoming Frontier REALTOR® Association - $50 each: Amy Bennett and Alexis Ortiz

Thank you to everyone who submitted name ideas, shared feedback, and cast a vote. Your engagement made this decision meaningful, and we’re excited to move forward together as the Southern Wyoming REALTOR® Association.
