Voting is a fundamental right and a vital part of our democracy that empowers individuals to influence the decisions that affect their lives and communities. Each vote matters, shaping local and national policies and ensuring that diverse voices are heard. By participating in elections, we hold our leaders accountable and advocate for the issues that matter to us. Engaging in the voting process is not just a civic duty; it’s an opportunity to shape the future and make our collective voices count.

  • The Cheyenne Board of REALTORS® endorses Eric JohnsonTaft Love, and Darin Smith for Senate District #6.
  • The Wyoming REALTORS® has endorsed these state candidates through the REALTORS® Political Action Committee.

Research local candidates' views on private property rights and real estate related issues  (County Commissioner, Mayor, and City Council) here   The committee is distributing to its members the candidates' completed questionnaires and campaign message videos. This process allows members to review each candidate's submissions and make individual decisions about who they believe will best represent them

"Vote for people that you know, that you trust…. Don’t know them? Then call them! Those worthy of your vote will answer your call and your questions.  Do your research, talk to your neighbors, know who you’re voting for! We need to elect LEADERS not those that are LED. Think about that… " --Laurie Urbigkit, WY REALTORS® Government Affairs Director

You can also search "Meet the Candidates" on Cap City News or visit the League of Women's voters YouTube channel for more information about the candidates.

Registration closes August 23rd.

Room block has been extended to August 23rd.

There are just a few days left before the implementation of NAR’s practice changes on August 17. Are you aware of “class notice,” which could come as early as August 17?  Here's some guidance from NAR on how real estate professionals should answer questions from consumers should they arise.

Consumers in your area may have already received a notice regarding separate settlements made by certain brokerage firms; however, this notice will be new and address NAR’s settlement.

It is important to underscore that NAR does not manage the class notice process. NAR members may nonetheless receive questions from consumers. NAR members should direct consumers to the settlement website (www.RealEstateCommissionLitigation.com) where they can find relevant information. You may also direct them to call the settlement administrator at 888-995-0207, for additional guidance. NAR members should refrain from further advising consumers on class notice.

  •  Watch NAR’s video on what class notice means for REALTORS® here.
  • The practice changes are detailed here and clarifying information is available in our FAQ on facts.realtor.
  • To obtain a release of liability under the settlement, you must be a REALTOR® on the date of class notice.
  • We’ve made updates to our FAQ, including a new section on transaction brokerage (#80-86).
  • We will host a webinar on August 15 from 3-4PM CT on the practice changes. Access it here.
  • Throughout 2024, NAR is making the popular Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation course available to REALTORS® at no cost: abr.realtor.

  • August 14 & 15:  1 -3 pm, Volunteer to help sort school supplies and stuff backpacks for the Back 2 School Bash - old Carey Jr. High (behind the building)
  • August 17th, 10 am - 2 pm:  Back 2 School Bash - Cheyenne Boys & Girls Club -- all Laramie County families welcome.  If you'd like to volunteer at the event, please attend a "volunteer meeting" on 8/16 @ 6 pm @ the Boys and Girls Club.
  • August 22nd - ROTY & BPOY Celebration Luncheon please RSVP before 8/15 to avoid a price increase.
