Born and raised in Cheyenne, Garry and his wife, Rhonda, have two daughters, Cortney Sutcliffe, husband Andrew, and Christy Chadwick, Craig Erpelding, and a grandson, Dylan.
Garry has worked in Law Enforcement, he and his wife owned The Box Shop (1996-2014) and Haulmark Trailer sales (2000 to 2018). He attended classes at Laramie County Community College and Eastern Wyoming College, graduated from the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in 1985 and later specialized in training new patrol deputies along with firearms instruction. For fun, Garry loves to fly and has been flying small airplanes since he was fifteen years old. Garry now has his Commercial/Instrumental rating and has owned several airplanes. Garry and his wife are avid boaters, and spend as much time as possible at Glendo Reservoir. Garry loves to Scuba Dive and is dual certified with both PADI and SSI.

Garry is a proud member of the Cheyenne Board of REALTORS®, the National Association of REALTORS®, and the Wyoming Association of REALTORS®.
